Starting something new for many of us can feel like we are walking into a very dark cave. We don't know how to feel comfortable and find our bearings because we don't "see" our next move. We are scared to make any movements because we don't know what scary things we will encounter. For many of us it is so easy to turn around and move to a more comfortable surrounding. But if you trust yourself and understand that you can handle whatever obstacles you face you can overcome your fears. One small step after another, and something miraculous happens. In the example of a dark cave, your eyes and other senses become heightened adapting to the darkness. In terms of new projects, your intuition, knowledge, friends, and other useful resources become prominent guiding forces steering you in the right direction. Trust that you can handle uncertainty and watch life step in and help direct you through the darkness.
Good Morning! The early morning hours are my favorite time of day. There is a stillness and crispness in the air. A feeling of excitement that stirs the imagination with possibilities. As you move through your day, routine can dull that sense of awe. But, try to remain with that optimism and joy. There could be something new and exciting happening at any moment. Look for it, reach for it, and you will find it. Have a great day!
Unknown to myself at the time, I actually started yoga at the age of 5 years old. I remember sitting under a huge weeping willow tree in my parents backyard trying to feel a connection between myself and nature. Whenever I was upset or needed time alone I would sit under that tree to reflect. As I watched the grass move against the breeze, I felt that same wind brush against my skin. I felt peaceful through the connection of my body and the world around me. Years later, the effects of time and age dulled my senses. I lost touch with myself. I felt fake, lost and hollow. At the advice of my sister, Darlena I decided to join a yoga certification program. This program was such a blessing to me. I was able to erase and ease the tension that had been created through life's hardships. I now had the practical skills to find my inner harmony again. I hope to give that same gift to you. Thank you for joining me in this journey in self love and healing. Namaste :)
